October 2018

Initial Mayors’ summit. Identified themes and highlighted need for a strategic plan.                                        

Fall 2018 to March 2019

Leaders from City of Knoxville and Knox County Mayors’ offices, KCHD, and MDC began to develop All4Knox vision and structure, including identification of sectors.

April 2019

Substance Misuse Response Coordinator hired by KCHD to facilitate strategic planning process.                        

April to August 2019

Sector leads identified and recruited. Strategic Plan Roadmap developed.                                                      

August 2, 2019

Mayors’ All4Knox Summit brought together community members to begin strategic planning process.                

September 2019

First sector-specific meetings held. Groups worked to identify strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats within their sector.

October 2019

Identify current activities and data sources. Create associated measures.                                                    

November 2019

Identify gaps in services and programs. Identify best practices for new programs. Create associated measures.

November 2019

Sector lead meeting to share strategies and identify opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.                      

December 2019

No sector meetings.                                                                                                                              

January 2020

Create overarching strategies. Refine measures. Develop first draft of communitywide strategic plan.                    

February 2020

Overview full draft plan with information from all sectors. Determine gaps and additional needs.                      

February 2020

March 2020

Look into processes required with achieving strategies and associated measures.

All4Knox is a joint effort of Knox County and the City of Knoxville with facilitation and coordination support from Metro Drug Coalition, the Knox County District Attorney General’s Office and Knox County Health Department. Our hope is to bring together our governments, businesses, nonprofit organizations, faith-based communities and many others in a coordinated fashion to address the substance misuse epidemic.
